Storytelling

Pepito & The Trash Cans

Stories are powerful

Story is a powerful tool that shapes the way we think, and how we think will determine how we live and experience life.

I tell stories that inspire creativity, and resilience and encourage my audience to courageously be themselves and pursue their dreams.

Some of my first audiences were homeless kids and children’s homes in Latin America. Today, I still tell stories that uplift and remind us that we are all powerful, beautiful, and treasured.

Pepito & The Trash Cans

This bilingual, musical story is about a boy in Bolivia who dreams about playing in a band with his siblings. Despite scarcity and misfortune, he finds a way to make his dream come true by making his own instruments out of bottles, cans and other repurposed materials.

Inspiring

This heartwarming story inspires creativity, resilience, and an appreciation for cultural diversity.

Educational

The audience will learn some Spanish vocabulary as it’s woven throughout the context of the story, and also acquire an understanding of the science of sound and music.

Unique

It’s not just a story, it’s musical, cultural, and poetic. Luke plays music throughout the story on his homemade instruments, including original songs and spoken word poetry.

Flexible

There is a 90, 60, and 45-minute version of the story in order to adapt to different venues such as theaters, schools, and libraries.
